Announcement and Call for Papers

The 5th New Zealand Built Environment Symposium (NZBERS) was hosted by the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) from Tuesday 17 to Wednesday 18 October 2017 in the Auckland City Campus, 55 Wellesley Street, East, Auckland. The symposium brought together built environment researchers in the NZ universities to disseminate their research findings or works-in-progress to the industry and colleagues. The theme for this year’s symposium was “Advancing collaborative built environment research and practice in New Zealand”. University of Auckland, AUT, Massey University and Unitec participated in the symposium.

The two-day symposium included keynote addresses from industry chieftains and decision makers in government departments. Built environment programme leaders in the New Zealand universities presented summaries of the current and recently completed built environment research by research students and academic staff in their units. Masters and doctoral research students also presented their completed research or works-in-progress.
